# Alerts

> How to get notified about visibility drops, competitor changes, and mentions.

## What Are Alerts?

Alerts notify you when something important happens to your AI visibility — a drop in rankings, a new competitor mention, negative sentiment, or a new brand mention.

## Alert Types

| Icon | Type | Description |
| :--: | ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| 📉 | **Visibility Drop** | Your brand’s visibility score dropped significantly |
| 👥 | **Competitor Change** | A competitor’s visibility changed relative to yours |
| 😟 | **Negative Sentiment** | Your brand was mentioned with negative sentiment |
| 🆕 | **New Mention** | Your brand was mentioned in a new source |

## Severity Levels

Alerts have severity: **Critical**, **High**, **Medium**, or **Low**. Higher severity alerts appear first and may trigger email notifications (if configured).

## How to View Alerts

1. Go to **Alerts** in the sidebar
2. Use the **brand filter** to show alerts for one brand or all brands
3. See **Active** alerts (unresolved) and **Resolved** alerts
4. Click **Resolve** when you’ve addressed an alert

## Resolving Alerts

When you’ve handled an alert (e.g., improved content or investigated a drop), click **Resolve** to move it to the resolved list. Resolved alerts stay in history so you can review trends.
