# Usage Limits

> How plan limits work and what happens when you exceed them.

## Limits Explained

### Prompts

One prompt = one query per month. Running the same prompt on 4 models counts as 1 prompt. Running it daily counts as 30 prompts.

### Brands

Number of brands per organization. Free = 1, Starter = 3, Growth = 5.

### Competitors

Total competitors across all brands in your organization. Free = 1, Starter = 5, Growth = 10.

### Content & Schema

Monthly limits reset at the start of each billing period. **Starter:** 3 schema generations/month. **Growth:** 10 content generations and 5 schema generations per month.

Citation campaigns, schema automation, and content generation are **powered by your visibility data** — they use the AI mentions, competitor comparisons, and brand context GeoArk accumulates, not generic prompts.

### Citation Campaigns

Citation campaign generation creates AI-powered templates (review emails, Reddit responses, media outreach). **Starter:** 3 generations/month. **Growth:** 10/month. Each **Generate Content** for a campaign counts as one. Creating campaigns does not count.

### Results Retention (Free)

Free plan users only see query results from the last 14 days. Older results are hidden but not deleted.

## Usage in the Dashboard

The **Billing** page shows usage bars for each limit (Brands, Prompts, Content, Citations, Schema), with **"X of Y used · Z left"** and when limits reset. Citations, Schema, and Content pages also show in-context usage before you generate. When you have 1 left, you'll see a pre-limit warning.

## When You Hit a Limit

You'll see a clear message with an **Upgrade** option. Limits reset at the start of your next billing period — the date is shown in the usage display.

* **Prompts:** Upgrade or wait for next period
* **Competitors:** Upgrade to add more
* **Content / Schema / Citations:** Upgrade for more, or wait for reset
* **Brands:** Upgrade to add more brands
